Sad to hear J/B! Where I live we have another lockdown? over New Years Eve & maybe longer if don't people don't abide the rules over that time? the two vaccines & booster jab only last for 12 weeks without being admitted to hospital serious treatment! You can still catch it with all the jabs! 2nd

No ewo, not a real story. William Peter Blatty researched the "Ritual of Excommunication" (which is what most people wrongly refer to as "exorcism"), then built the story around it. The truly dreadful "Exorcism of Emily Rose" claims to be based on a true story (so does Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Ah, sorry Jb, Didn't mean to upset you. No excuse, just full of festive wine and making argumentative comments to amuse myself. Apologies

Is The Exorcist film a true story? Image result for the exorcist was it a true story Specifically, The Exorcist was based on the true story of a 13 year old boy reportedly named Roland – sometimes believed to be named Ronald – who was supposedly possessed and later subjected to a real life exorcis

Nostradamus born in 1503. A seer or a pessimist?
-
C_V Maybe it was because I had just given birth to my beautiful son that V grabbed me so emotionally at the time ;-) I read something in the newspaper about Nostradamus, 2022: cannibalism, food unaffordable and the rise of crypto unstoppable. Scary ! But should we fear this?

@JB - I do hope your son and grandchild recover quickly. My 10 year old nephew tested positive for covid also for the 2nd time but he is not very ill. Mostly a slight cough. No one else in the family is ill. All vaccinated and had covid a year ago.

If you want too see where the world is headed, just read Revelation in the bible, especially the part where a plague will wipe out a third of the population...xxx

@ewo,should be a special place for those books/films that were pure science fiction at the time, but predicted the world as it's headed since. Fahrenheit451, Doomwatch and 1984 are great examples. and in an odd way, Quatermass 2 became very prophetic. :)

Have to disagree Juelma, V was an awful series, but the Exorcist is still a powerful film even after 50 years, one of the few that can still shock even though everyone is familiar with it, and it's been parodied many times.

and smell still messed up, have to sleep every few hours, and last week's blood tests show a white cell count that means body is still fighting infection 12 months on, and having to support it with strong Vitamin D capsules as the tests showed Vit D levels way too low, immune system has been nobbled

Good luck with that Jb, hopefully they'll show no symptoms, being young is a great advantage with this virus, but keep a watch out for the "long covid" symptoms. It's a double-whammy for the unlucky, I battled through the infection a year ago, yet have never truly recovered even now, sense of taste

Guess that remark from you lbj about my post right? I haven't said anything in a long time on here.I have every right to even though it may bother you.
