work has been much on my mind this week. its puttin a serious crimp in my drinking errrm social life. my boss is a complete arse and i could quite happily murder him with his own pink requisition slips. in triplicate of course. i'd be given hero status with my workmates:))

to this end iv drafted up a resignation letter template. feel free to use it as u will. its a standard form and insert names as is relevant to u.

the things that i would insert into mine can be read in the brackets iv put by each entry.

Dear Sir, (dear crusher of dreams)

It is with deep regret (Ii'm over the moon) that Ii am informing you of my intention to leave the company on this date. (I'll out of here in the next fifteen minutes)

may i take this opportunity (its the only one you've ever given me) to thank you for employing me (you saw me coming and thought 'sucker!!') and you have taught me many skills that will help to carry me forward in my career (you taught me the real meaning of slavery, drudgery and degradation)

its been a pleasure working for the company (its been like Guantanamo Bay) and i wish you every success in the future ( i hope you burn in hell)

Yours Faithfully (hah!!)

insert name here (idiot)

feel free to contribute to my form as much as you like. i need the inspiration:)

now lets have some fun!!!

richard harris in a man called horse? and if daniel day lewis doesn't bring heart palpitations as hawkeye in last of the mohicans you must be an iceperson! helped rescue a fine story from its dated print legacy. beautiful cinematography!

daniel day lewis was very good in My Left Foot.

I was just thinking about Dances with Wolves last night. I think about it often - that kevin costner's character chose the simple life of the indians ultimately. Their whole way of life and outlook was inspiring.

    agreed, tudes.

Oh, Roberto, Dances with Wolves was an amazing movie (and I'm not a Costner fan).

ditto the kevin costner thing, but a good film non the less

Humm so many good movies you name one and forget another I am into sci-fi and adventure, Lord of the ring was a masterpiece but the movie that touched me the most and made me feel ashamed of being white was dances with wolves brings tears to my eyes everytime for what they did to the natives

LOTR was absolutely amazing. just as i pictured it would be when i read the books. brilliant stuff. isnt The Hobbit coming out as a film this year?
