MY ANGEL CALEB
I remember looking into your big beautiful eyes the day you were born. You smiled at me through those eyes. I remember your first steps. I remember seeing you walk with your walker for the first time on Father's Day. I remember smiling from ear to ear and being filled with joy for your accomplishment. You absolutely loved the water whether it was taking a bath or swimming in the pool. You would put me to work to get you out, kicking off the wall and swimming to the center, sometimes only getting out if I came in to get you myself. You loved going to the Astros games, getting a big bucket of popcorn and mimicking the concession operators saying "Cold Beer! Cold Beer!" Never really caring who won. :) Anytime we would mention baseball you would swing your arms mimicking the swinging of a bat. I remember your first baseball game at West U Little League and being so proud of you. I remember you dressing as a little Santa and passing gifts out on Christmas. You also loved feeding the fish. You would throw some bread to the fish and then take some for yourself. I have so many fond memories of you, my son, that I carry with me and will cherish for the rest of my life. Some people don't believe in angels but I do. Caleb, you were my angel. Most children pull strength from their parents but Caleb you gave us all strength. You were so full of energy and life even though you could no longer speak, we could feel you. Caleb you have touched the lives of so many and will be loved, remembered and missed always!
Love,
Dad
